FAST Microgrants

FY2027 FAST Microgrants

The Montana Technology Innovation Partnership (MTIP) powered by MSU TechLink Center has a limited amount of FAST funds to provide financial assistance to Montana small businesses that are actively preparing SBIR/STTR proposals in the federal fiscal year 2027.

MTIP will award up to five (5) FAST Microgrants to eligible Montana based SBIR/STTR applicants of up to $3,000 per year. Prospective SBIR/STTR applicants may apply to MTIP to receive FAST Microgrants to reimburse costs to attend conferences, travel to speak with agencies or commercialization partners, acquire consulting services from an approved service provider for assistance with the preparation of Phase I or Phase II proposals, and undertake other activities directly related to their SBIR/STTR proposal as described in the TechLink FAST Microgrant Instructions and Application FY2027 form.

Applicants are required to complete the TechLink FAST Microgrant Application which provides essential information, including proof of eligibility, proposed topic/agency, team and available resources, budget and budget justification of allowable costs, and a brief describing your Phase I or Phase II project and timeline. The application process is intended to help yield good proposals and will permit sound award decisions by the MTIP program director and team.

Receipt of an application is not acceptance. TechLink staff will review each microgrant application and notify the applicant of approval or denial. Final payment is issued after TechLink receives proof of submission and additional documentation per instructions.
